CANGRANDE halfmarathon
START 09.00 a.m. October 5, 2014

Thank you for choosing Cangrande Halfmarathon.
The following operating instructions are posted to make  easier your contact with the event and leave more time to concentrate on your race.

HOW TO GET THERE:

BY CAR:
VERONA SUD highway exit and follow the signs for City Centre.
Piazza Bra is about 2 km. from toll booth.
To park in the days of Friday and Saturday close to the square use the Arena and Cittadella or Gasometer Parking.
On Sunday blue stalls are free to availability.

BY BUS:
VERONA SUD highway exit  and follow the signs for City Centre.
Piazza Bra is about 2 km.from tollbooth
To park in the days of Friday and Saturday in the vicinity of the square using the Arena Parking and Cittadella or Gasometer.

BY TRAIN:
Arrival at the station of Verona Porta Nuova, about 1 km from the center ExpoVeronamarathon direction.
BY PLANE:
Take the shuttle to Center / Station.
Arrival at the station of Verona Porta Nuova, which is about 1 km from the ExpoVeronamarathon Downtown direction.

IN CAMPER:
In G.Dalla Via Bona - Zona Porta Palio, about 1000 meters from the railway station is equipped camper parking AT THE COST OF Euro 10,00 for 24h stop.

RACE BIBS:

at Expo Veronamarathon Piazza Bra

• Friday, Oct. 3, 2014              from 15.00 to 20.00

• Saturday, October 4, 2014     from 10.00 to 20.00

• Sunday, October 5, 2014       from 06.30 to 08.30

Arrangements for the withdrawal of the bib:

• Introduce yourself to the  collect place with the confirmation letter that highlights the regularity of enrollment. The letter of confirmation is sent via email. You can download it directly from the website www.veronamarathon.it going to" check registration ".

• Who will see highlighted on the confirmation letter the words "NOT CORRECT ENTRY" must have access in advance to the Secretary to finalize the entry and following he/she can go to  the withdrawal of the bib.

• Anyone who arrives without a confirmation letter will be able to verify the number of his race number in the list of participants posted at the entrance of Expoveronamarathon and then have to go to the Secretariat to request the release of the letter of confirmation and can later go to the withdrawal of the bib .

RESIDENTS IN THE PROVINCE OF VERONA ONLY CAN WITHDRAW THE CHEST IN THE DAY FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3 AND SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2014.
IN ANY WAY WILL BE MADE REGULARIZATION OF REGISTRATIONS IN THE DAY SUNDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2014.
SENDING OF MISSING DOCUMENTS IS ALLOWED BY FAX OR MAIL TO THURSDAY OCTOBER 2 AT THE SECRETARY OR AT THE VERONAMARATHON EXPO IN DAY 3 FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4. ATHLETES WHO ON SUNDAY WILL PRESENT NOT CORRECT REGISTRATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A BIB.

 

DEPARTURE AREA :

In the proximity of Departure (Palazzo della Gran Guardia) you will find the truck to deposit your bag  (we accept only small size AGS) for the deposit of a change of clothes.
Remember to APPLY CLEARLY VISIBLE your number contained in the technical envelope.
BAGS OF HUGE SIZE ARE NOT ACCEPTED !!
The trucks remain in the same position for the withdrawal of the bag after the race.

• START 09.00 a.m.

 

ENTRANCE TO THE GRIDS:

4 starting grid were prepared according to the stated objective time.

• GRID - White

• GRID - Light Blue

• GRID - Violet

• GRID - Grey

The entrance to the grids is authorized according to the background color of the bib and NOT the number of race.
Access to the grid will be possible from 08.15.
To access the Start Area follow the marked route, about 200 meters from the bags storage.

 

BIB:

The bib is personal and it is forbidden to sell it or trade it with other people. It must be placed in a clearly visible on the front of the bust. The trademarks and logos of the sponsors and number of race can not be concealed and shall be legible PENALTY THE DISQUALIFICATION.

 

TIMING:

The electronic timing is provided by TDS Live.
The chip is placed on the back of the bib and should not be removed for any reason, under penalty of exclusion.
It must be submitted to the organizing committee just after the finish line before exiting Zone Check.

 

RACE COURSE:

The route is marked by direction and mileage indicators.
The tracking check stations are located at  Km: 5,5 e 10
The organizing committee reserves the right to make further controls on the path to the protection of the regularity of the event.

 

Refreshments:

Refreshments will be positioned as follows:

• Km 5,600 - Tables to the right and left of the path

• Km 9,800 - Tables to the right and left of the path

• Km 15,200 - Tables on the right path

• Km 19,500 - Tables on the right path

The sequence of tables and their contents:

At each refreshment station toilet service will be available.

 

SPONGE:

At Km.7.5 / 12.5 / 17.5 you'll find pans of water to soak the sponges.

 

ARRIVAL AREA CANGRANDE HALFMARATHON:

The arrival of Can Grande Halfmarathon is located a few meters from the entrance of Expoveronamarathon.
At the finish line after collecting the commemorative medal and handed the chip race you will find a dedicated  refreshments and following the truck with bags of clothing.

 

PICK RACE PACK:

The race pack includes the t-shirt of the event is delivered simultaneously with the withdrawal of the chest.

 

PACER:

Your angels.
The service aims to assist you if you want a point of reference in the pursuit of your personal record.
The following time guaranteed: 1.30 / 1.40 / 1.45 / 1.50 / 2.00 / 2.10 / 2.20 / 2.30

 

SERVICE WITHDRAWALS AND TIME LIMIT:

A "retired athletes" service is offered in fixed locations at the  Km: 10 e 14.
It will be also guaranteed a broom service following the event to comply with the time limit of 3 hours of total closure of traffic.

 

HEALTH SERVICE ON THE PATH:

Along the way and in conjunction with the refreshment facilities will be located fixed emergency locations served by the GREEN CROSS.
On the way there will also be mobile units for rapid intervention on cycling following competitors.

 

MASSAGE ZONE:

Just inside Expoveronamarathon entrance, there is a free service of massage.

 

SHOWERS AND SHUTTLE SERVICE:

The showers isin the locker room of sport Center A.Consolini Via Ascari, 5
located about 2 km from the finish.
It will work with a dedicated shuttle service departing from Corso Porta Nuova ( Face San Luca) from 10.30 until 16.00.
The departure area of the shuttles will be signaled by an inflatable indicating CAMPO CONI / SHOWERS.

 

RESULTS:

The full list will be exposed within Expoveronamarathon and posted and downloadable from the website www.veronamarathon.it .
All classified can download the certificate of participation from the website www.veronamarathon.it from Monday 6 0ctober 2014.

 

PHOTO SHOOT ON THE PATH:

They will be present to take shoots of athletes along the way and the arrival and dispatch, as usual, the pictures at home.
